Kaneko, Ryuuichi

Kaneko Ryuuichi, born 1956 in Kobe, Hyougo Prefecture, Japan, was a science journalist and science reference book writer. He was representative director of the company Contact, a member of the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology and worked at Hard SF Laboratory.

Kaneko suffered from a brain hemorrhage before summer 2013 started, and had been hospitalised. He had recovered and was undergoing rehabilitation at a rehabilitation specialty hospital, but the brain hemorrhage resurfaced on August 28, 2013. He underwent emergency surgery, but passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013, without regaining consciousness or breathing on his own again.
