My favorite mangaka, second being Tezuka. I have read almost all of Ito. His mangas have good but not stupid complex stories and are very well drawned.

an absolute god in the manga scene. the way his "stories" are told is fantastic. and i put stories in quotations because most of the time you have got no idea whats going on. Ito's work is not meant to deliever a good story, or a meaningful message really, his work is there to creep tf out of you. his imagination is off the charts, it's crazy good. definetly deserves the father of manga name. one of his most famous work is Uzumaki which reminds me of H. P. Lovecraft stories and story telling. i am not gonna say why, go read it for yourself cuz its an absolute masterpiece. oh and it's about spirals. you know? the shape....
and lots of his other work is not particulary huge at least outside of Japan. which sucks cuz more people need to read that man's work but its NOT for everyone. AND THE ARTTT jeez, the art is beautifully creepy.. i reccomend that you buy his actual books so that you can experience his "jump scares" i guess. anyways i think i made my point very clear. probabaly the best living mangaka right now. TEZUKA FIRST.

Though I can't say I hold any work of his in high esteem (save for Uzumaki), the meticulous details he adds on the drawings and exploiting the fear for the unknown makes me respect him.

I hope the anime adaptation of Uzumaki turns to be as intriquing as it is marketed.

Enigma was so good; probably better than Gyo.
