Awful.

@NeverKnowsBest26 Nothing that you said had anything to do with a director.

The budget for a show depends on the production committee. The animators responsible for the show can also make or break the animation, see One Punch Man that actually had a normal TV series budget. And you're talking about visual which is mostly subjective anyway.

Directors aren't the one who created the story or characters unless they're the original creators too.

Stop blaming the wrong person for the wrong things.

I want a Robotics;notes sequel! PLEEEASE!

NeverKnowsBest26 | Feb 24, 2013 11:01 PM
First off, production wise Robotics;Notes is mediocre, especially considering it is being made by Production I.G. It looks flat and dull in comparison to most of repertoire. Don't take my word for just look at the difference between this and visual sheen of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Comlex (which was made in 2002-2003) and Moribito (2007),or the soft beauty of Usagi Drop (2011) and Kimi ni Todoke (2009); all of which are older and better looking than Robotics;Notes.

Secondly, the characters are not particularly well developed. Many are little more than trite stereotypes: Jun and Airi are fetishistic moeblobs akin to those in shows like Clannad; they are cute and clumsy with sad back stories, these are character types that are overused in anime. Akiho is a hyperactive girl with some depth, but the show has yet to really take advantage of any potential she has... and the show is more than half-way through its 22 episodes. Kaito doesn't do much in the way of investigating the reporst, he just does stuff that somehow activates flags which are never explained and then gets a bunch of exposition dropped on him.

@judojon explain how robotics;notes is bad? do you have ANY valid points to back up your opinion?

NeverKnowsBest26 | Feb 8, 2013 11:56 PM
Judging from Robotics;Notes, he isn't a very good director...

Kenta_Maebara | Oct 11, 2012 1:22 AM
Don't screw up Robotics;Notes, please.
