Amazing work as Jiji. Sad about his crazy bitch wife.

rest in peace phil hartman. Thank you for voicing Jiji and thanks for the memories. I loved him on the Simpsons and it is such a shame that such a brilliant man has died in a senseless way. To me, he will always be one of the greatest voice actors I've ever seen and admired, along with Mel Blanc and June Foray.

Hi I'm Troy McClure, you may remember me from such anime dubs as Kiki's Delivery Service and Bible Black.

What! He was murdered? No wonder I haven't heard anything from him! Oh God that's so sad D: I'll bet he would've gone into other dubbing roles, whether it be anime or cartoons.. So sad :(

For audiences unfamiliar with Kiki's Delivery Service, Hartman's first and only Anime dubbing role as Kiki's cat companion Jiji (who was nonetheless turned into a comical sidekick with lots of one-liners) was a delight, including this writer, who laughs every time he sees the film at his lines. On the other hand, other fans HATED his performance as Jiji, saying that he was a terrible casting choice and that he ruined the film. Whatever side of the fence you're on, there is no denying that Hartman is an amazing talent, and it seems unfortunate that shortly after completing work on "Kiki", he was murdered. He is sorely missed. Love or hate his Jiji, his work on "Kiki" will definitely be the role that Anime fans and Ghibli fans will remember him forever for.
