One of the major successes of the ADV dub of "Nadia" is in the casting of actual children in the roles of the three young protagonists, particularly in the case of Meg Bauman as the title character. Her performance is winning and natural from the start, and she couldn't have been a better choice to play the character. She is far and away superior to Wendee Lee's rendition in the Streamline dub, and more importantly, the chemistry between her and Nathan Parsons as Jean is excellent -- this is because both were good friends in real life, which adds a touch of organic tangibleness to their performances.

Sadly, she hasn't had very many roles other than "Nadia", but from what I heard of her in "Steam Detectives" and "The Devil Lady", she has only gotten better and better. She is a very underrated voice actress who deserves better recognition. And to think it all started by playing the controversial title character in a Gainax-produced series based on Jules Verne!
