Takagi Hitoshi was a voice actor from Tokyo, Japan. He was born February 26th, 1925 and died February 11th, 2004 due to ischemic heart failure.

Takagi started his career in 1963 and joined Gekidan Kumo (劇団雲) a year later. He was one of the people to follow Akutagawa Hiroshi, after he left Kumo and established Engeki Shuudan En. In 2000 he left En and joined 81 Produce.

He was famous for voicing Totoro in the Ghibli film Tonari no Totoro.

... So I assume his ghost suddenly returned to voice Griffith from the Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS series in 2007... 3 years after his death. Which of course makes total sense.
