Hotarubi no Mori e Wins the 66th Mainichi Film Award

According to the official website, Hotarubi no Mori e has won the Best Animation Film Award in the 66th Mainichi Film Concours. The Blu-ray and the DVD of the anime will be released on February 22nd. Hotarubi no Mori e official webiste The anime was shown at Scottland Loves Animation 2011 last October and won the jury's prize.

According to the twitter of Nogami Takeshi, mangaka Kawasaki Noboru refused Tokyo Anime Award, which was planned to be given at Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF) 2011. Cartoons on the Bay announced the winners of Pulcinella Awards 2010. Kuchu Buranko (Flying Trapeze) was chosen for the best TV anime for young adults.
