DVD Release Date of Hetalia Movie

According to the official website, the DVD of Ginmaku Hetalia Axis Powers Paint it, White was announced to be released on January 26th, 2011. The box office income of the movie is 200 million yen (50scr, $2.4 million).

It's quite common in Japan for it to take about a year to release a movie, really. Just like with Macross Frontier movies, F/SN and many other.

Geez. D: In the UK, there was a mini crisis about DVDs simply because the distributors of Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland wanted it to come out like 2 weeks earlier than the usual 8 week post-cinema wait we have. ^^;

woohoo!! I've been waiting for it to be out for ages, as that means someone might sub it!! (and eventually the western market might get it too, as everything else Hetalia is making it's way here ^.^)

Stop fighting guys, it's not like dtshyk will delete this this news just cuz you think it's not important. It is for some of us, deal with it. Maybe we won't buy the DVD but it's nice to know about when we'll be able to watch it online. And btw it's not like dtshyk won't add news about japanese releases just cuz some (most?) of us aren't from Japan. It's like he wouldn't add news about some new anime just cuz it's gonna be aired only in Japan and we don't live there. Not nice, right?

Come on guys. The way I see it, dtshyk told us this is because now we know when the Movie is coming out in Japan, we can set a timescale for when it will be subbed online and we can watch it.

Drake has a point in that most users won't be able to actually buy the DVD, but for those who want to watch the movie will now have a rough idea of when they can watch it online.

Its sort of like the Haruhi movie personally, I'm only going to watch it when it has a DVD copy subbed and I know when, thanks to dtshyk telling us that it'll be released at the end of December, meaning I can hopefully watch it in January when its uploaded.
