Cast of Princess Resurrection TV Series Replaced in the New OVA

According to Kodansha's news letter, the cast of the OVA of Princess Resurrection will be changed from that of the TV series.

Hime: Hayami Saori (Kawasumi Ayako)
Hiro: Irino Miyu (Ooura Fuyuka)
Flandre: Iguchi Yuka (Kawaragi Shiho)
Riza: Kitamura Eri (Kaida Yuko)
Reiri: Toyosaki Aki (Noto Mamiko)
Sawawa: Kayano Ai (Minaguchi Yuko)

Kawasumi's voice was amazing for the arrogant kuudere, Hime.

the series wasnt all bad. the OP/ED maybe not in my top ten but a close 11 so might as well watch it

It doesn't matter anymore whether who plays Hime, the thing is that this is a whole new anime, which is more encchi than before.

I just finished the series and I actually quite liked it, but all those casting changes is going to make the OVA feel so very different. I'm still looking forward to it though, especially due to how appealing the new art style is.

I was a little concerned after reading the manga first, then starting the anime if noto mamiko would make a good vampire role :s

But my concerns were nullified as she wonderfully voiced the playful vampire to suit Reiri's character. Sad to see shes been fired. I doubt Reiri will feel the same.

Well, at least we're getting an OVA. The Anime wasn't all that great, this looks much closer to the original Manga at least.
Therefore, I shall be watching. Hopefully, it will get subbed.

No preference with either cast. Both feature very good people.
However, if the producers are trying to improve the ratings by changing the cast, they are dead wrong. Cast was never a problem compared to other things.

I find the lack of Ayako/Mamiko most disturbing....

Ayako's voice was perfect for Hime's character.

it's difficult for me to imagine hime without kawasumi ayako... the art style is more like the manga also and it looks like they are going to stick closer to the manga feel in general which is probably for the better. I don't mind these voice actors, but it's really a question mark now.

Although I'm fond of Kitamura Eri, so I'm looking forward to hearing her as Flandre. *3*

Haven't seen much of the anime anyways, andIi think Toyosaki Aki sounds closer to what I imagine Reiri's voice as in the manga rather than Noto Mamiko anyway, herp derp.

EDIT: Shatz, read that wrong. Kitamura Eri as Riza, not Flan.

Was Princess Resurrection good in the first place? Anyways, it doesn't matter much to me since the Japanese language isn't my native tongue. Still, it's always a bummer when a voice actor, or in this case, the entire cast gets replaced by someone new.

Anyway, I'm happy to hear that he gets another role this year. Not so many comparing to last year...

Maybe I'll try this OVA only, because I have no interest in TV series.
