Live-Action & Anime Combo Movie of Kaidan Restaurant Announced

According to the official website, a movie of Kaidan Restaurant was announced to be premiered this August. Animations and CGI will be merged with live-action part.

In the new movie, Ako, Sho, and Reiko investigate a serial missing case caused by Shinigami mail with an original character Mystery Detective Hal. Kudo Ayano (official blog) will play Hal as a live action character.

After watching the trailer, Kudo Ayano's HAL seems like an annoying OC.

I find it's kinda unfair for an OC to take the limelight while the others (except for the male interest) are in the background.

Frankly, it'll be awesome if they can continue when it stopped in the Anime and actually reveal some stuff like how Ako is related to the Ghastly Garcon. And I really want to see how their trio dynamics are like in the flesh.

I'm not to fond of japanese live-action series, mainly because most of the japanese lack the skills to actually "act" any decent.

But it's always nice to watch a short japanese live-action series between all the serious shit I'm watched, and this one actually sounds interesting, so I'm looking forward (not really) to the subs.

Shugo Chara Party is part-live action, so I guess it would be allowed, as long as it has a reasonable amount (at least 10 minutes, I would guess) of anime footage.

I saw this posted on ANN, it looks interesting.. I guess first small part will be anime leading into the live action film.. hmm

I wonder what the plot will be.. :)
