'Aishiteru Game wo Owarasetai' Announces Main Cast, Staff, April 2026 Airing

Production company Nikkatsu opened an official website for the Aishiteru Game wo Owarasetai (I Want to End This Love Game) television anime on Sunday, revealing the main cast, staff, and a teaser visual (pictured). The anime series adapting Yuuki Doumoto's school comedy manga will begin airing in April 2026.

Voice actors Kaito Ishikawa (Shiro Seijo to Kuro Bokushi) and Miku Itou (Adachi to Shimamura) are starring as Yukiya Asagi and Miku Sakura, respectively.

Doumoto began drawing the manga on the Sunday Webry platform in December 2021. Shogakukan published the seventh volume on June 18.

VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in June 2023 and released the sixth volume on May 13. The seventh volume is planned for a July 14, 2026 release.

oh no.. it's my favorite romcom manga but idk what to feel about this, especially since I never imagined Yukiya's voice to be like Kaito Ishikawa's... (I really hope I'll be proven wrong and I'll like it, both the adaptation and his voice)

nikkatsu?! well that's odd to say the least. felix film is hmm, decent ig. idk about the director tho. won't go into this with high hopes...

still, idk why all the peak romcom mangas have such 50/50 luck when getting adapted, kinda sucks. (looking at the mayonaka hearttune)

Nikkatsu? Comedy Manga? anime? the same people behind the Roman Porno series? OMFG I can't believe what I'm reading. The last person who had anything to do with them (for a 2016 reboot of the Roman Porno vomit, of all things. Poor woman, I'm sorry for her) I've known of is a lady in the Episode of Stinger V-Cinema movie of Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger who goes by the pseudonym of Yuki Mamiya/Yuki Masuda, and she's a JAV actress. Nikkatsu equates to Comedy, animes or mangas like Disturbed equates to metal music, they have nothing to do with each other.
