'Isekai Munchkin' Unveils Main Cast, Production Staff, First Promo for Fall 2025

Bandai Namco Filmworks opened an official website for the Isekai Munchkin: HP1 no Mama de Saikyou Saisoku Dungeon Kouryaku (Otherworldly Munchkin: Let's Speedrun the Dungeon with Only 1 HP!) television anime on Monday, revealing the main staff, production staff, the first key visual (pictured), and the first promo. The anime series adapting Yuu Shimizu and Makoto Aogiri's adventure fantasy manga will air in October 2025.

Shimizu (Seireitsukai no Blade Dance) and Aogiri began serializing the manga on the Suiyoubi no Sirius website in February 2019. Kodansha published the 11th volume last November, with the 12th volume set for a June 9 release.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English for digital release in October 2020 and released the tenth volume on November 12 last year.

@fraufi OK.. if that means the characters are not OP from episode 2 onwards and there is some real leveling involved (unlike some other anime with 'leveling' in the name, lol) then color me intrigued.

The CGI on the goblins looks hideous.

I'm guessing this will be part of the fall slate for Crunchyroll. I might check it out if the season isn't too busy.

@red4scare Judging by the manga statistics on manga resources and the adaptation's cooperation with the current D&D copyright holders, it all depends on your personal preferences. Maybe hit, maybe miss.

Asking as someone who does not know the manga... is this one yet another generic isekai? Or does it have any redeeming qualities? I love the genre and I've read my share of western LitRPG but sadly most isekai animes are trash.
