'The Ninth Jedi' Receives Anime Series, Main Staff of 'Star Wars: Visions Volume 3' Announced

The Star Wars: Visions panel at the Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 event revealed the main staff for the Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 episodes on Sunday. The anthology will debut worldwide on Disney+ on October 29.
The event also announced an anime series for The Ninth Jedi episode from the first installment, scheduled for a 2026 release. Kenji Kamiyama, the director of the original episode, is credited as the chief director for the The Ninth Jedi anime series at Production I.G.

Season 2 was a bust. Nobody cares about worldwide studios. Season 1 had some success because it was anime. Actual anime. Season 2? Pfft, maybe the Chinese and Korean shorts had some attention but even that's minuscule compared to Japan.

also there are people in this thread that seriously with a straight face say Japanese the most culturally conservative people ever don't seperate western animation.
This just reads like retards who are sad that western animation got killed in the past decade and are now begrudgingly watching anime and hoping anime becomes more like western animation to appeal to their sensibilities.

Yea, so its fine the way it is...I mean... NO ONE is on this site for "western" animation, so I don't think it matters how the term is used in Japan lol
And come on man, China and Korea have cultures "close enough" to Japan that i don't think many people have a problem calling their work that looks the style, "anime"
