New 'Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu' TV Anime Announced

The official website of the Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu LOVE (Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!) anime series announced a new television anime titled Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Haikara! on Monday, revealing the main staff and a key visual (pictured).

Shinji Takamatsu (Grand Blue, Gintama) is returning to direct the new anime at Studio Deen.

Created by Kurari Umatani and produced by Diomedéa, the 12-episode first season aired in Winter 2015. Studio Comet produced the second season in Summer 2016, followed by an original video anime in August 2017. The third season aired in Spring 2018.

The latest installment commemorating the franchise's 10th anniversary, Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Eternal Love! (Cute High Earth Defense Club Eternal Love!), premiered in Japanese theaters on January 24.

Well, this is certainly out of the blue, boueibu does it again 😁 almost makes me hopeful for some other favourites of mine.... almost. Bit ambivalent about another new cast, I know this is one series that actually allows itself to be affect by the passing of time and I've no doubt they'll grow on me, but at the same time, one can never be fully happy for previous favourites being replaced, right? Like... 😔
