Light Novel 'Tensei shitara Dragon no Tamago datta' Gets TV Anime

Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Necoco's Tensei shitara Dragon no Tamago datta: Saikyou Igai Mezasanee (Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling) light novel on Friday, revealing the main cast and a commemorative visual to celebrate the announcement (pictured).

Miria: Miku Itou (5-toubun no Hanayome)

Necoco began penning the adventure fantasy light novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in August 2015. Earth Star Entertainment began publishing the novel under its Earth Star Novel imprint in December 2015, featuring illustrations by Naji Yanagida (Re:Monster: Ankoku Tairiku-hen). Square Enix acquired the novel in January 2021 and released the 16th volume in June 2022.

Comic Earth☆Star began serializing a manga adaptation by RIO in September 2017. The eighth volume was published on January 10.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga in English in November 2020. The ninth light novel volume and the seventh manga volume went on sale on February 4 and February 25, respectively.

Synopsis
Our hero wakes up one day in a brand new world…but his new life doesn’t come with fighting skills or magic powers, or even arms and legs! He’s reborn as a helpless egg, stuck in an unfamiliar forest surrounded by terrifying, hungry beasts. But eggs hatch, hatchlings grow up, and humble beginnings can lead to something great. I do like Itou Miku although without more information its not really enough to convince me right now

The most annoying thing in this entire series is that the Dragon is extremely emotional when it comes to humans. He's a freaking monster himself, why is he like crying and wants to protect humans etc. That is the dumbest thing I've read in a while in a light novel series. I might watch this since I read the light novels but not having any high hopes. The beginning is probably the best though.

Ah ha!
Actually been reading that one since Light Novel book 3 came out, and it's at like #9 now.
Been enjoying my time reading it.

Nothing particularly new here though. Closest i would say is Kumo Desu, but without wasting time on Shun.
And you know, that's not so bad.

I wouldn't expect great production value for this, probably a low 7, but that's fine i guess.

Also, no romance/harem here. Just a survival story.
