Video game publisher Marvelous revealed through the first trailer of its Farmagia video game on Thursday that an anime project is currently in production.

Created by Marvelous, Farmagia is an upcoming action fantasy game scheduled to be released on Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC on November 1, featuring designs by Hiro Mashima (Fairy Tail, Edens Zero).

Game Synopsis
After the death of Felicidad's ruler, the despotic overlord Glaza seizes power and imposes an oppressive regime on the world's inhabitants. As Ten and his fellow Farmagia friends, command an army of monsters as you explore and battle across the treacherous lands of the Underworld, collecting resources to take back to your farm. There you'll upgrade your skills as a Farmagia, growing more monsters to nurture, and developing their new traits to aid your battle against Glaza and the Oración Seis. (Source: Marvelous)

@EcchiGodMamster @CocoaGalaxy I won't say whether this is a common practice or not, but a number of games receive anime at the same time as their launch as a promotional campaign. True, in my memory, in most cases this does not end very well. In Bandori's case, people even considered it a miracle that the unsuccessful first season didn't kill the franchise. Although D4DJ and Revue Starlight were quite successful in the end.

I was just saying during the Nintendo Direct how that Danganronpa school game is gonna probably get an anime in a year or two, but this gets an anime before the game even comes out?

damn........ AITE lol

This is so confusing. So there's a new game. that isnt even out yet. And its already getting an anime? If it's still in production the anime wont be out for some time, and the game isnt out either so the timing of this is just weird

Also you know, game adaptations.
The game isnt even out yet soo no idea.
And if they had planned this both at the same time wouldnt the anime be done by now? Timelines are different I guess?

@Timeline_man not just that all of his 3 big manga so far has oracion seis as enemies

Mashima keeps winning. Fairy Tail Pokemon sounds fun, so I'm sure watching.

Has anyone dreamed all their life of creating a hybrid of Overlord and Digimon? Intriguing tastes. But all jokes aside, I'm always skeptical about this type of promotional anime. It’s better to make an adaptation when your game is already quite popular and interesting.

@deg it's actually literally the name of an enemy group in Fairy Tail, just copy pasted the name.
