Manga 'Elf-san wa Yaserarenai.' Receives TV Anime in 2024

An official website opened for a television anime adaptation of Synecdoche's Elf-san wa Yaserarenai. (Plus-Sized Elf) manga on Monday, revealing the main cast and a teaser visual (pictured). The anime is set for a 2024 premiere.

Voice actress Ayasa Itou (Teppen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) is starring as Erufuda.

Synecdoche drew the comedy fantasy manga in Web Comic Gum from December 2016 to May 2021. Akita Shoten shipped the eighth and final volume in November 2021.

A sequel manga titled Shin Elf-san wa Yaserarenai. (Plus-Sized Elf: Second Helping!) began in Dokodemo Young Champion magazine in November 2021. The second volume was released last February, with the third volume is scheduled for a January 18 release.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga and its sequel in English in November 2017 and March 2023, respectively. The eighth and final volume of the original manga was released in December 2022. The sequel manga's first volume went on sale in September 2023, with the second volume scheduled for a February 20 release.

Synopsis
Naoe-kun, a massage therapist, is about to head home for the day when he's saddled with a rather strange patient. This lovely lady has emerald eyes, pointy ears, and grew up in the forest–everything about her screams "elf," except for one thing: her bodacious body. It turns out she left her world but loves junk food in this one, and now her obsession has caught up with her. Can Naoe-kun help this lovable elf girl lose the weight–and keep it off? This looks fun and fresh. I might check it out. There have been quite a lot of shows featuring elves in the recent months. Nice to see a series trying to do something new, instead of taking "bland moeblob character" route.

@Tokoya The series regularly has the girls going to bathhouses and spa's and they don't cover anything. Except a small light over their genitalia. That's it. There are other bits of nudity but it tends to be comedic.

Every volume i read had at least one scene of the girls nude.
