Manga 'Katsute Mahou Shoujo to Aku wa Tekitai shiteita.' Gets TV Anime by Bones

The Avex Pictures and Bones industry panel at Anime NYC announced a television anime adaptation of Cocoa Fujiwara's Katsute Mahou Shoujo to Aku wa Tekitai shiteita. (The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies) manga on Friday, revealing the main staff.

Fujiwara (Inu x Boku SS) began drawing the fantasy romance manga in Gangan Joker magazine in September 2013. The manga, also known as MahoAku, was left incomplete with 21 chapters after Fujiwara passed away in March 2015. Square Enix published the third and final volume in March of the following year. The manga has a cumulative 400,000 copies of its volume in circulation.

Synopsis
The manga tells the story of Mira, who leads an evil organization trying to take over and destroy everything. Earth is under attack, but a magical girl named Byakuya Mimori stands up to Mira's group. As they face off, something unexpected happens—Mira falls in love with Mimori.

Hmm, so the manga remains unfinished due to the author dying. I wonder if BONES will do their own ending.

@Piromysl I was also attracted by the fact that the manga was written quite a long time ago (the first chapter came out a year after her last anime) and consists of only three volumes. So technically they could adapt the entire story, presumably creating an original ending for the anime.

It's from the late author of Inu x Boku SS, so if two main leads gonna have similar dynamic, then I'm all sold! I'm also a sucker for those villain x hero romances.
