Kamichu Team's New Movie To Be Premiered At Berlin Int. Film Fest.

The 60th Berlin International Film Festival announced that Aniplex's new movie "Uchu Show e Yokoso" will be premiered as one of the opening films along with Summer Wars. The festival will be held from February 11th till 21st.

It was originally announced in Newtype magazine January 2008 issue with a tentative title "The☆Uchu Show".

Synopsis
Koyama Natsuki is an 11 year old girl, who recently moves in the countryside. One day in a summer vacation, she goes into a nearby mountain with her friends to look for her pet rabbit. But it's the beginning of a space-shaking adventure.

So far it looks adorable and with a staff like that, it's sure to make an impression.
It's a definite must-watch for me! (At the official site, the girl at the right with the baseball bat looks a lot like Matsuri from Kamichu!)

Cool news. Kamichu was light heartedly enjoyable, hoping for something similar.

anyone knows the exact date when this will be shown? and if it's subbed or dubbed (personally i can not believe they would dub something at a premier).

i hear that summer wars will be also shown at the festival.

I imagine this will be worth a watch. Kamichu was quite an enjoyable anime. I just hope the non-human character designs are as awesome as they were in Kamichu.

Also, what's with the studio switch? Kamichu was by Brains Base, but I don't imagine the production studio making too much of a difference if almost all of the staff are the same.

I really liked Kamichu! and the plot seems interesting~!

This look like it has some potential. I haven't watched Kamichu yet but it's on my to-do-list. The staff looks really good though.
