The Azur Lane 6th Anniversary Fes event announced a second season for the Azur Lane: Bisoku Zenshin! (Azur Lane: Slow Ahead!) television anime on Sunday. The event also revealed an announcement video.

Yostar Pictures and CANDY BOX produced the first season, which aired in Winter 2021. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with English subtitles.

The anime adapts Hori's slice of life spin-off manga which began on the Azur Lane's official Twitter. Serialization began in Comic Rex magazine in April 2018. Ichijinsha will ship the fourth volume on September 27.

The original Azur Lane smartphone game was developed in May 2017 by Shanghai Manjuu and Xiamen Yongshi and published by the streaming website Bilibili. The game was released in Japan in September 2017 by Yostar, with the official English localization released in May 2019. A comic anthology was released in January 2018, with a Playstation 3D game, Azur Lane Crosswave, released in August 2019 by Compile Hearts.

Synopsis
In a seemingly peaceful time without looming threats of Sirens or war, shipgirls from different nations live together in harmony. Some girls, such as the destroyers Ayanami, Javelin, Laffey, and Z23, attend school. Others immerse themselves into various other activities, including sports, foraging, training, going to formal parties, or even vying for the commander's attention! But one thing is for certain: the girls will continue to deepen their friendship in the pleasant port of Azur Lane! [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Oh these are some sweet news! I watched the first season last year, and I hope this next one will be just as cute. Moe never disappoints...

@Piromysl They said that the second season was in development on one of the streams when they made announcements adaptations of their CGDCT mangas. But regardless of whether they canceled development or there was no announcement at all, it doesn’t matter. I wasn't a big fan of the changes they made anyway.

Second session wasn't even announced. Dunno who told you but you've been lied to.

Seems like they took the advice and decided to go CGDCT route either his franchise, which works wrote well.
When they tried to adapt the supposed "story" of this game it failed horribly.
More Laffey is always good.
