'Bullbuster' Reveals Additional Cast, Staff, First Promo, Fall 2023 Premiere

The official website for the Bullbuster television anime revealed on Friday additional cast, staff, key visual (pictured), and first promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere on October 4 at 9:00 p.m. on AT-X, followed by Tokyo MX, Kantele, and BS-NTV.

Yuuma Uchida (Banana Fish, Jujutsu Kaisen) is joining the cast as Shuuichi Namari.

NORISTRY (Beyblade Burst Dynamite Battle) is performing the opening theme "Try Lai Lai" and Konomi Suzuki (Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu) performs the ending theme "Gambare to Yobu Tabi." The ending theme is previewed in the promotional video below.

Hiroyasu Aoki (Hero Mask) is directing and handling the series composition at animation studio Nut. Takahisa Katagiri (Star Wars: Visions animation director) is designing the characters and the chief animation director.

The Bullbuster project began as a concept book distributed at the COMITIA convention in 2017. Hiroyuki Nakao began penning a novel on the Kakuyomu website in October 2018. In December of the same year, Kadokawa began publishing the novel, featuring illustrations by Eisaku Kubonouchi (Carole & Tuesday). The third volume is scheduled to ship on September 29.

The synopsis was very Dai Guard ish already. The new trailer with the CG monsters gives me Godzilla SP vibes.

The main mecha's cockpit is a looks more advanced than Jet Jaguar's though.

We have a revival of SoL mecha from the first half of the 10s, anime remakes from the 90s and 00s style shonen. I don't know what decade I'm in anymore.
