'Ore dake Level Up na Ken' Unveils Main Cast, First Promo

The Crunchyroll Industry panel at Anime Expo 2023 revealed on Monday the main cast and a promotional video for the Ore dake Level Up na Ken (Solo Leveling) television anime. The anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2024.

Yoo Jin-Ho: Genta Nakamura (Shinmai Renkinjutsushi no Tenpo Keiei)
Baek Yoon-Ho: Hiroki Touchi (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners)
Choi Jong-In: Daisuke Hirakawa (Noblesse)
Cha Hae-In: Reina Ueda (SSSS.Gridman)
Woo Jin-Chul: Makoto Furukawa (One Punch Man)
Go Gun-Hee: Banjou Ginga (Hunter x Hunter (2011))

Shunsuke Nakashige (Megami-ryou no Ryoubo-kun.) is directing the television anime at A-1 Pictures. Noboru Kimura (Kemono Jihen) is handling the series composition. Tomoko Sudou (Fragtime) is designing the characters, and Hiroyuki Sawano (Shingeki no Kyojin) is composing the music.

The anime adapts Chugong's action adventure manhwa, which began as a web novel on the Kakao website and was published by D&C Media from July 2016 to March 2018 in 14 volumes. A webtoon adaptation drawn by Sung-rak Jang began in Kakao in March 2018 and ended on December 29 last year.

Yen Press licensed the manhwa and web novel in English in August 2020 and shipped the sixth volume of the manhwa on March 21. The seventh volume is scheduled to release on August 22.

Korean SAO, who birthed the "Hunter" subgenre, just like SAO (even not being a proper) isekai birthed the modern definition of generic gamey-isekai.

Art and the flex "fights" (more like stomps) were kinda cool, cant say the same for the plot or characters (WHAT CHARACTERS? LMAO).

Omniscient Reader and SSS-Class Revival Hunter are much better than this very thing they (kinda) copied. Better worldbuilding, better plot, MUCH better characters. Hope one day they get to shine as animations of their own.

I wonder if the Jin Woo voice will go deeper after his body develops. Because it feels like the current voice only fit the wimpy Jin Woo but not the badass

loved the manhwa mainly cause of the goated art, rip sung-rak. the plot and story weren't even all that tbh. hope the overall animation and sound design is top notch.

we will still be watching tho!

It looks amazing but still have my doubts though, I love the Webtoon and I am pretty excited to watch this, let's just hope its good when it releases.
