Because it's a fucking shonen romcom for a male audience that follows the classic formula. I don't think you're so ignorant of anime tropes to know that such works are always meant to be wish fulfillment and portray the male protagonist as a self-istert to enhance that experience. Dude, don't start your autistic mode of arguing for the sake of arguing again. I literally told you why that is, but you start making it personal and passive aggressive again.

again, how the series is self insert when author clearly express otherwise? like kanokari for example, author clearly stated it was a self insert series. but you haven't provide any reason what made this a self insert series. or is it just another buzzword?

You yourself came up with the idea that I blame someone. I was just stating the fact that it is self-insert. It's not bad or good, it's just scripting. I keep repeating this every time people try to make drama out of it. And I will only once again repeat that the characters are written like this for the AUDIENCE, not for the author. So your references to the authorship of the characters are just meaningless here.

again, you accused series being male self insert, despite the author express multiple times that she adore the male lead soo much and sometimes jealous of mie-san. also how the hell noragami self insert?
Jun 15, 2023 2:32 AM by Kuma
I love how you get upset about an idea I didn't even come up with lol. I literally gave high marks to the show you mentioned. And yes, self-insert characters are written for the audience, not for the author. Which is just the case here. If you want a female-written shonen with a female self-insert, check out Noragami.

the author is woman, and she express that female lead was the one that based on herself. also the male lead was the one that more popular than female lead. but hey, it's shounen/seinen romcom so it must be written by male for male fantasy, am i right? sigh..... literally i see same shitty argument for Boku no Kokoro yabai Yatsu or Kubo-san wa Mobu. even when both has female authors and expressed multiple times male lead is what they would be if they were romance male lead.

I wonder how long this "self-insert male MC + unique waifu" romcom trend will last? It seems now it is something like school harems of the 20s.
Another pile of generic predictable nice guy mc with the waifu bait tropey anime(or maybe not, let's hope not, maybe it can be an actually good romance which would be a surprise to this day), when is this bad normie trend gonna end jesus christ I'm so tired. Not to say if you pay attention to his feet when he walks up the stairs and the proportions how much they deform to try making the zoom effects it's like his body is made of rubber. God awful and laughable honestly, can't wait for the people like "ackshually! is really good!" okay.

except none of the title i mentioned are like what you describe. bokuyaba MC is NOT nice, it's the female lead the put him in awkward place and forced him to be nice. also they fall in love because they share secluding place (the library) thus interact the most. for kubo-san, it was kubo that being the "nice guy". she fall in love with him because both interact the most since both love to come into class early as well she felt special that only her notice him. for this manga, it was MC sit next to her when she often forgot glasses so she ask his help the most. grateful feelings turn into romantic one. MC was not the kindest, nor the only one. but happenstance make them interact the most. and MC realize it and didn't want to be seen as exploit the situation so romance mostly initiated by female lead. this one is as shoujo as it could be without flowery effect. the male lead is popular, handsome, and helpful, it was the female lead that was the "nice guy".
your argument might have some point, but you use it against wrong series based on personal bias and prejudice render it useless.
what you consider realistic then? are above not any less realistic? happenstance, intense interaction, specialty IS very realistic start to romance. sound like you are the one that have idealistic, unrealistic view on romance, lmao.
you read and watch anime and manga less then me. i probably already read most stuff in your list. maybe YOU are the one that need to broaden your horizon. the anti-thesis of what you didn't want is plentiful already.

I didn't even imply that I want the main guy to be an asshole, you have serious issues reading. It's not realistic when in an anime, the only person seemingly that treats the main girl or just any other girl that shows up in the story nicely is the protagonist and they just magically fall in love with him for so, that's what I mean with "nice guy mc trope" the protag who can't possibly make mistakes or somehow lives in a world were for some reason he is the only one that treats them nicely and that's enough for them to fall in love with him.
your argument might have some point, but you use it against wrong series based on personal bias and prejudice render it useless.

so you want female lead to fall in love to asshole guys instead? thank fucking god those author not fall into romanticize "broken guys"... it's like these author actually have touch on reality and know healthy relationship build on kind characters. i take those than wtf was that latest 2 shoujo adaptation announced recently. if those are what you consider "good romance", i would rather watch generic romance then.

On another note, I didn't say it was for guys, I said the male mc nice guy trope. I don't blame you on the confusion though, I'm just genuinely tired of people somehow falling for the same thing over and over and still silly me waiting on good romance, if the author is a woman or a man is of no interest to me honestly. Though I heard some arguments that usually female authors tend to portray emotion better and interaction between characters overall? Not sure about that one but would like to hear more about it.

Another pile of generic predictable nice guy mc with the waifu bait tropey anime(or maybe not, let's hope not, maybe it can be an actually good romance which would be a surprise to this day), when is this bad normie trend gonna end jesus christ I'm so tired. Then just don't watch it. If your life is that pathetic that you get so angry at something that you can literally just ignore completely, you need to take care of yourself.
