MAPPA Announces 'Bucchigiri?!' Original Anime for Winter 2024

The MAPPA Stage 2023 event announced an original television anime titled Bucchigiri?! on Sunday, revealing the staff, a teaser visual (pictured), and teaser promo. The anime series is scheduled to premiere in January 2024.

@Silverbloom First, you are confusing the term BL (boys love) with Yaoi. Secondly, this division is completely forced and it has long been abandoned even in the West. There is only BL, which comes in varying degrees of frankness. And that's it. Third, shonen-ish has nothing to do with shonen ai and just means "shonen-like".

Honestly I don't know what to expect, by the design you can see that it might have a yaoi vibe. But I don't know, I just wanted the second season of Chainsaw Man

I don't know why you thought it looked like BL. It's a blatantly shonen-ish cartoonish design.

I like delinquent stuff but man I HATE these character designs... it looks kinda BLey too, not that I care since I'm not gonna watch it but I will be the slightest bit annoyed seeing a bunch of Instagram fangirl reels about it when it comes out and if it actually does end up being bl seeing the shounen guys who didn't realize getting bothered will also be annoying

Admittedly, and I'll own up to this, I didn't actually watch the teaser trailer when I wrote my comment. After watching it, I can say that yea there doesn't seem to be anything gay about it. I wrote my original comment based off of what I was seeing others saying in here, and based off of earlier comments, I had assumed this was BL or at least had implied BL.

For real, they are not even that many, but they managed to perpetually make some people butthurt. Meanwhile the seasonal 5 isekai shows were the girls are slave barely make a beep in the mind of these people.

Also I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not here, but it's not bait, Victor and Yuri literally get engaged in the later episodes. But if you're meaning it in a sense that the anime is more likely to attract people who are into bl, then yes.
