Is it so pure a romantic story as opposed to the typical LN-based anime?
I'd personally describe the series as a dramedy with some sprinkles of romance here and there, with the majority of the romance so far taking place early on in the series compared to the more recent volumes. The romance is a fairly minor part of the story on the whole. The story is basically the MC getting sent back in time upon her untimely death and her trying to avoid it. She ends up doing good things and tries to improve her kingdom and the lives of its people, sometimes unintentionally. A decent portion of the comedy is based on misunderstandings/mismatches between what the MC actually thinks/does and what the other characters believe she is thinking/doing, along with the resulting confusion by the MC and her desperate attempts to figure out what's going on and how to deal with it or use it to her advantage.
So, is this a typical world building isekai?

English LN reader here. I'm caught up with the releases. There's not really any yuri. It's all been straight romances for the various characters who do have love interests, including the MC. There's no harem or ecchi unless you count the rare social bathing scenes among the girls where actual conversations take place (since in the anime you'd see them bathing, whereas in the LNs their bodies aren't really discussed much, if at all).

I'm not here to complain, it's just that all-female yuri LN isn't usually my cup of tea.

I've only read the first 2 volumes (unfortunately) but it's mostly like an otome from my experience. there's probably other ppl on MAL, who are more into the novels, who know for sure though

Then I'll ask a leading question, is this something gay or more typical otome LN?

There is, yeah. i believe the story delves into that in volume 2, which should be adapted in the anime

it's also not really SoL since the series is mostly about trying to save herself, and her empire

Aside from many other works in this genre, this one seems pretty good! Finally a good work is adapted!

Wish a different studio/director took it.

the seiyuu for Anne & Ludwig fit pretty well! can't wait to see the adaptation!

...but i was thinking a 2023 release might be too soon now, since Bofuri and Misfit kept getting delayed. oh well
