Manga 'Wind Breaker' Gets TV Anime

Production company Aniplex opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Satoru Nii's Wind Breaker manga on Thursday and revealed a teaser visual (pictured). CloverWorks is animating the series.

Nii began serializing the delinquent action manga on Kodansha's Magazine pocket website in January 2021. The tenth volume shipped on January 6, with the 11th volume scheduled to go on sale on April 7. The Wind Breaker has a cumulative 1.22 million copies in circulation.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in March 24 last year. The ninth volume released on March 14.

Synopsis
Haruka Sakura wants nothing to do with weaklings—he's only interested in the strongest of the strong. He's just started at Furin High School, a school of degenerates known only for their brawling strength—strength they use to protect their town from anyone who wishes it ill. But Haruka's not interested in being a hero or being part of any sort of team—he just wants to fight his way to the top! (Source: Kodansha USA)

You are in fact allowed to name a creative work the same as another, the only thing stopping you is if said other is big enough to get lawyers on your tail. In this case, neither is really that significant, globally or, let's be realistic, domestically, so there's no issue.

heard of this before, really classic type of shounen. decent for some people but why is cloverworks the one adapting this mid lmao. unfair.

I have never read this manga before, but I did have it in my interest stack for manga that are likely to get anime adaptations.

Good news! It is similar to Tokyo Revengers without the time travel theme! At first I also thought that it was anime Wind Breaker anime adaptation announcement. But this series, I think is also very good. Let's wait for the PV! Also the staff here is decent.
