Also, not the same director, scriptwriter, animators, etc.
Nothing is similar to Hoshi no Samidare besides Nippon Animation credited for helping the dumpster fire of a production a little bit.

At first, I was excited....hey, the same orchestra as Sound Euphonium.
Then I realised its by the same team that brought us Hoshi no Samidare, low budget, powerpoint slide sh!tshow. So I'm not expecting KyoAni type animation, some snippets in the preview look decent, but likely wont see much of that, maybe just the finale. The rest are going to be stills. But we see this already in alot of music anime. The budget cant carry the performance animation all the way. Only in Sanzigen (Bang Dream, D4DJ) and to a lesser extent, Sunrise (Love Live) where you see animated musical performances in every episode.
Synopsis also reads like some high school lame plot repeated many times before....it sounds familiar, the overcoming some trauma trope.
I'll give it a watch, but you usually need a cheerful genki carefree, no trauma/baggage type main character to carry music animes. You need feel good vibes for music animes. Otherwise medium to longer term, when you think about it, it usually not give you good feelings.
Not the same team as Hoshi no Samidare at all. The studios were NAZ/Jumondo.At first, I was excited....hey, the same orchestra as Sound Euphonium.

Thanks! I appreciate the correction!! Goes to show how a dud of a show impacts on the reputation.
Even better, as you indicated, and I do recall now, after you mentioned it, that there was talk that the quality if Hoshi did improve in the later episodes of the season.
Especially as time goes on, details like these be forgotten and people will just look at the labels on who did what....."oh, the company made this dud?" Like what I was thinking as I looked up Blue Orchestra, and made me wonder if I should spend time watching or not.
Feel more optimistic about the show now.

Glad they didn't get Akira Ishida for the voice of P3 MC ๐ฐ๐น๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ. He might waste his stupendously great talent there and I swear the Persona fandom would riot.
Not watching this cheap melodrama anyway and I will not comprehend its existence. (since I read the manga where the MC does ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ก๐ out of the ordinary and the sad backstories had less impact but rather they are just plot devices)
Besides, there is only a month left until April 2 for my (3)๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ-๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐ต๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป from watching seasonal anime and possibly for the rest of almost everything related to anime.
Yes, but, who the fuck asked ?
