Manga 'Sasayaku You ni Koi wo Utau' Gets TV Anime

The official Twitter of Eku Takeshima's Sasayaku You ni Koi wo Utau (Whisper Me a Love Song) manga announced a television anime adaptation on Friday, revealing an official website, the main cast, staff, and a commemorative illustration (pictured).

Hana Shimano (Made in Abyss: Retsujitsu no Ougonkyou) and Asami Seto (Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai) are starring as Himari Kino and Yori Asanagi, respectively.

Takeshima began serializing the girls love manga in Comic Yuri Hime in February 2019. Ichijinsha published the sixth volume in April 2022, while the seventh volume is set to release on January 18.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in November 2019 and released the sixth volume in December 2022.

Synopsis
Yori Asanagi is a mature girl in many ways but is still pure when it comes to romance. That sentiment is proven when an underclassman, Himari Kino, suddenly confesses love to her after her band performance at the freshman opening ceremony.

Confused and surprised, Yori asks her friends for consultation, but they tease her by saying that she is experiencing love. Yori soon makes up her mind and tries to return Himari's feelings, but in a twist of events, she realizes that what Himari loved was not her, but her music!

Sasayaku You ni Koi wo Utau revolves around Yori and Himari's relationship. As Yori continues to pursue her love for Himari, she promises to make Himari fall for her. However, will this passionate love bloom or remain unrequited? [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Unlike MariMite or HibikeEupho, this is a full on yuri though....

MariMite was never yuri bait, it was even before modern yuri as such, because that was one of the works that created it. Also, this is completely canonical yuri, only platonic, because Class S. But I didn't understand why you mentioned these shows. Hibike has been around since the early 10s and MariMite hasn't received a sequel in years

As far as smut is concerned, again, we consistently have 1-2 such shows every season now.

Yuri bait doesn't necessarily mean that its yuri content isn't real. However, it's good, because judging by your page, you, like many yuri fans, only watch all-female shows in the hope of seeing yuri there.
