'Mashle' Unveils Additional Staff, Teaser Promo for Spring 2023

The Jump Studio NEO stage for the Mashle (Mashle: Magic and Muscles) television anime revealed additional staff, the first key visual (pictured), and a teaser promotional video on Sunday. The anime series adapting Hajime Koumoto's action comedy manga will premiere in April 2023.

Voice actor Hiroaki Hirata (One Piece) will serve as the narrator for the anime.

Tomoya Tanaka (Engage Kiss) is directing the television anime at A-1 Pictures. Yousuke Kuroda (Boku no Hero Academia) is handling the series composition, and Hisashi Toujima (Blue Lock prop design) is designing the characters. Masaru Yokoyama (Urusei Yatsura (2022)) is composing the music.

Weekly Shounen Jump began serializing the manga in January 2020. Shueisha published the 14th volume on December 7.

VIZ Media simulpublishes the manga in English and shipped the ninth volume on November 15. The tenth volume is planned for a January 10 release. Shueisha's Manga Plus platform also simulpublishes the manga in English.

Almost all female characters in this series (only 9 in entire manga so far) are weak and/or useless. Maybe 3 appear in more than one episode: Lemon, Margarette and Lance's imouto.

I think I'm at 100 or so chapters of the manga, but I do actually think this manga is pretty cute and funny.

Mash is a great character: he's stupid-strong, can't lie worth a shit, loves creampuffs, and a complete dumbass. And he beats the shit of eugenics!

My prediction is that this series will generally start out fairly popular (it's a shounen jump adaptation). Then as Lance Crown (blue hair) and Dot Barret (red hair + headband) are introduced, the show will pick even more steam from dorks comparing their character designs to Langa and Reki from "Sk8 to the Infinity".

Anyway, I don't know what A1 Pictures' reputation is for animating action, but Mashle is mostly comedy-based, and I liked A1 pictures' work on "Kaguya-sama".

Yes, it will be a COMPLETE manga adaptation! Voice actors, design like from the manga, all looks splendid! I wait for Mashle anime so much!!

The art in this series is amazing so I'm looking forward to how steak sauce pictures does with it the comedy is pretty good as well so I look forward to how they translate it
