'Kaiko sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-dai) no Slow na Second Life' Announces Main Cast

The official website for the Kaiko sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-dai) no Slow na Second Life (The Slow Second Life of a Dismissed Dark Soldier (Age 30)) television anime announced the main cast on Saturday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2023.

Dariel: Tomokazu Sugita (Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu)
Marika: Akane Fujita (Seirei Gensouki)
Bashubaza: Atsushi Abe (Princess Connect! Re:Dive)
Gashita: Tetsuya Kakihara (Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta...)
Zebiantes: Rumi Ookubo (Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu)
Radey: Akari Kitou (Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu)

Fumitoshi Oizaki (Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm) is helming the anime at Encourage Films. Hitomi Amemiya (Merc Storia: Mukiryoku no Shounen to Bin no Naka no Shoujo) is handling the series composition and penning the script. Satomi Yonezawa (Deaimon key animation) is designing the characters and Tsubasa Itou (Gaikotsu Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai e Odekakechuu) is composing the music.

The anime adapts Rokujuuyon Okazawa's fantasy light novel which began on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in November 2018. Kodansha began publishing the title under its K Lanobe Books label in August 2019, featuring illustrations by Sage Joh. The third volume shipped in March 2020.

Rurekuchie began serializing a manga adaptation in Young Magazine the 3rd in August 2019. Kodansha published the seventh volume on July 20.

I think Sugita-san is an ideal choice for the voice of the main character.

Ookubo being a stripperific wind lady is also curious. I think she's doing unconventional roles nowdays, with enough success.


It's a show for a male audience, so obviously they'll be more worried about casting young and moe-ish VA for the female characters than the male ones.
