Manga 'My Home Hero' Gets TV Anime Adaptation

This year's 29th issue of Weekly Young Magazine announced television anime adaptation of Naoki Yamakawa and Masashi Asaki's My Home Hero manga on Monday.

Yamakawa and Asaki began serializing the crime drama manga in Weekly Young Magazine in May 2017. The manga went on hiatus last October after the end of its second part. The third part began on the 29th issue on Monday. Kodansha published the 17th volume on February 4. My Home Hero has a cumulative 2 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

Synopsis
Tetsuo Tosu, an ordinary salaryman, discovers his daughter, Reika, has been physically abused by her boyfriend, Matori Nobuto. Trying to learn more about him, Tetsuo uncovers Matori's scheme to extort money from Reika's wealthy grandparents, and finds out that he is a member of a crime syndicate, with a history of murdering his former girlfriends.

Filled with rage and fear at the thought of Reika being in danger, Tetsuo ends up killing Nobuto, and with the help of his wife, Kasen, successfully disposes of the body. Now, as the members of the syndicate begin to question Nobuto's sudden disappearance, Tetsuo and Kasen must work together to ensure the safety of their daughter and prevent her from getting involved in the predicament any further. Except it absolutely is. A generic work is one that fails to exhibit creativity by simply recycling existing tropes without considering their application.

To be fair, that series has a quite bad start, and it's not just the first 3 episode, but more like the first 6-7.
It gets way better after that but still, not everyone has the patience to sit through so much to see if a series gets better...

Nah fam, there are lots of bad isekai out there.
And even most of the good ones, they're still generic. But generic is not equal to bad.

The particular case this time is quite the special one though, the author's other work, the isekai, has a very rough and long start of its anime, lol

It's certainly an intriguing premise, but it's made by an Isekai creator? Not a good sign, but definitely worth a look.

YOOO? This is getting an anime??? I genuinely hope this gets a good studio cause I don't want to see this being butchered. I'm really excited for an anime of this and hope it reaches until the end of the first part.

exactly!..after reading the synopsis i was like wait a min, it feels I've seen this same story somewhere and then i remembered it was drishyam, really excited for the anime now.

So i live in India and i just want to say that there is one movie in here named "DRISHYAM" which has exact same plot a Lil bit here and there like the boyfriend is just a playboy rather than a killer except whole synopsis is same so i am not saying it's a copy or anything.. it was just so much same that'I couldn't Stop myself from commenting this and yeah i liked that movie and it was great and this anime will be good too and i know there will be so many things different in this anime and just looking forward to it...
