Publisher Kodansha announced on Saturday that Madoka Kashihara's 4-nin wa Sorezore Uso wo Tsuku (Four People and Their Respective Lies) manga is getting a television anime adaptation. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2022 on ABC TV, TV Asahi, and its 24 affiliated channels on the ANiMAZiNG programming block.

The story follows four friends who each have a secret they cannot share with each other.

Kashihara began serializing the slice of life comedy manga in Bessatsu Shounen Magazine in April 2020. Kodansha shipped the first volume in December 2020 and will release the second volume on April 7.

Genres won’t work with premise imo. If ur gonna have a premise like that it’s best to be psychological/drama rather than a lighthearted anime

jesus it must feel like absolute shit to have a take this bad

There’s actually a male character in this sort of anime. That might just make this interesting as it’s usually just girls

An alien, a ninja without a clan, a girl with supernatural powers, and a boy in girls' clothes.

Well that's not particularly interesting at all. Rather disappointing, actually, and the creator clearly ran out of ideas for that last one. Assuming that is actually all their respective deals and not a fake spoiler, of course.

From the same magazine that brought you Attack on Titan and Aku no Hana....yeah I guess AoT ending really pushed some needed adaptations to boost the Bessatsu Shounen Magazine's sales, cos without it they'll be bust.

But aside from that cheeky fact, I think this will be exciting. Hope that anime ain't that far away from now.
