'Sasaki to Miyano' Gets New Anime Project

The 12th and final episode of the television anime adaptation of Shou Harusono's Sasaki to Miyano (Sasaki and Miyano) announced on Monday that it will receive a new anime.

Shinji Ishihara (Log Horizon) helmed the first season at Studio Deen. Yoshiko Nakamura (Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun) handled the series composition, and Maki Fujii (Zutto Mae kara Suki deshita.: Kokuhaku Jikkou Iinkai) designed the characters. Kana Shibue (Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu) composed the music.

Harusono began the slice of life school manga in Gene pixiv in February 2016. Kadokawa published the eighth volume in December, with the ninth volume scheduled to release on July 27.

Yen Press licensed the manga in English last October and released the fourth volume on November 9, with the fifth volume scheduled to ship on April 26.

Synopsis
Yoshikazu Miyano's troubles first start one hot summer day when Shuumei Sasaki steps into his life. Sasaki saves Miyano's classmate from a group of bullies, and after that, Miyano cannot seem to shake off his eccentric upperclassman. His silent admiration for Sasaki gradually sours into annoyance each time the so-called delinquent refuses to leave him alone. Constantly being called by cute nicknames and having his boundaries ignored, Miyano wonders why Sasaki wants to get close to him.

The shy and easily flustered Miyano harbors an embarrassing secret—he is a "fudanshi," a boy who likes boys' love (BL) manga. The last thing he wants is for other students to find out, but through a slip of the tongue, he reveals the truth to Sasaki. Intrigued, the clueless Sasaki asks to borrow a book to read, which he is given very reluctantly. To Miyano's surprise, Sasaki enjoys the BL that he receives and asks for more, marking a shift in their strange dynamic.

Although Sasaki appears to possess some personal agenda, his feelings for Miyano become complicated the more time they spend together. As they now share a common interest, their relationship is poised to change and further develop. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

I added Sasaki and Miyano to my Anime Watch Challenge, I was just filling in certain requirement and after the first episode ... I fell in love with the story how cute they both act with each other...how their friends could see how close they were getting even tho they hadnt actually going out... their friends supported them... I have BL before... in other anime series... and never grabbed my interest... it probably cuz the story wasnt like Sasaki and Miyano... I search for other BL animes to find an anime like this... kinda fell short... so I see there isnt an anime like "Sasaki and Miyano" Im glad I watched it.... several time already...... ~_^ my first BL I love... <3

Please create another season...

Is it? Most of these shows are a zoo, that is, a one gender show for an audience of the opposite gender. CGDCT with straight romance as a main theme like Love Lab is pretty rare. So much so that a bunch of people were furious about the show I mentioned.

aaaaaaaaaaa I wasn't expecting this cuz both sasamiya and hirakagi doesn't have enough material for a new season unless they wait for more chapters to release so there is a high possibility for it to be a movie but I prefer a season way more specially hirakagi needs an adaption

It doesn't matter if it's a second season or whatever, I really enjoy the manga and it would be great if they adapt other things from it. It would also be good if they adapted hirano to kagiura, or made some kind of slice of life with the rest of the manga

So happy to hear this, but the fact that they didn't specify format scares me thinking it'll probably be a movie and I'd much prefer a season two.

Yes! Anything would be awesome! I think it will be Hirano to Kagiura as there not enough manga material to further adapt Sasaki to Miyano manga. I hope original series returns next year when there will be enough source material to adapt!

I loved the anime and all the characters it had.
