'Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero' Reveals Additional Staff, Second Trailer

The official website of the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero anime movie revealed on Wednesday additional staff members, second key visual (pictured), and a second trailer. The movie is scheduled to open in Japanese theaters on April 22, and in North America in Summer 2022.

Tetsuro Kodama (Dragon Ball Super: Broly CG sequence director) is helming the movie and Chikashi Kubota (One Punch Man chief animation director) is the animation director. Naoki Satou (Stranger: Mukou Hadan) is composing the music.

The Dragon Ball Super television anime, sequel to Dragon Ball Z, aired in 131 episodes from July 2015 to March 2018. The first movie in the Super series, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, opened in Japan in December 2018, grossing over 13.5 million yen (approximately US$12.3 million) worldwide.

Toriyama and Toyotarou began serializing the Dragon Ball Super manga in June 2015 in V-Jump magazine. Shueisha shipped the 17th volume on December 3. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in North America and published the 15th volume on January 4.

Original Red Ribbon Army maybe not, but ever since Android / Cell saga, for most people RRA meant android characters, some of them being among most iconic characters in series - also, one can easily justify their power with more advanced technology, although it was shown that they can also train.

Btw, not sure if you are into DB games, but few years ago they introduced 21, non-canon android who quickly became fan favorite to a lot of people.

Animation looks unique for a Dragon ball movie that's for sure, they're trying that comic book style like Spider Man Into the Spider Verse.

But I'm still not sold on the Red Ribbon story and those 2 Superheros #1 and #2 working for them. This isn't the 80s Toriyama nobody cares about the Red Ribbon army.

The animation looks better with every trailer, but other than that, I hope that we get to see Broly spar with Beerus too

Also I'm like 90% certain that Cell is coming back now lol

so the main characters this time are Piccolo and Gohan eh nice and i heard both of them will have new forms or power ups too

I just realised gohan was also a superhero named saiyanman. So maybe they are trying to draw parallel.

Also the japanese voice are....ummm. I will wait for dubs as usual

Anyways I am excited for this. (Since Toriyama has much more involvement in this than previous films)
