The Jump Studio Blue stage for the television anime adaptation of Yasunori Tanaka's Summertime Render manga revealed the first key visual (pictured) and the first promotional video on Sunday.

The television anime is scheduled to air in two consecutive cours of 25 episodes beginning Spring 2022 and will fully adapt the manga. The anime will be streaming worldwide on Disney+. OLM (Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu., Odd Taxi) is producing the anime series.

Ayumu Watanabe (Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu. chief director) is helming the anime, with Hiroshi Seko (Jujutsu Kaisen (TV)) handling the series composition and script. Miki Matsumoto (Satsuriku no Tenshi) is designing the characters.

The sci-fi mystery manga, based on Tanaka's 2008 one-shot Jamais Vu, began in Shounen Jump+ in October 2017 and ended on February 1. Shueisha shipped the 13th and final volume on April 2. The publisher's Manga Plus platform simulpublished the series alongside the Japanese release.

They're not gonna cram it in 25 episodes right? Well, at least we had a promising Director.

Nice to see a two cour show getting released but 139 chapters in 25 episodes seems like they'll have to rush a bit

let's hope the production doesn't struggle either being 2 cours

OLM+Ayumu Watanabe directing and Hiroshi Seko on scripts, not a bad staff.

25 eps for a complete adaptation is slightly worrying though.
Yeah, usually that would be concerning but I trust Hiroshi Seko that to make it as good as he can while cramming all that in 25 episodes. He rarely misses.

i think it's doable to adapt whole series into 2 season. most pages was focused on gritty fight/art/expression. the textual context the series it self isn't much.
not 2 seasons, 1 season of 25 episodes.
25 episode is what i mean. 39-38 episode is already overkill.

Complete adaptation in 25 episode will be rushed but if done right it'll still be a great adaptation. Having OLM adapting this is also reassuring, specially with Ayumu Watanabe directing the anime. Looking forward to it.
