Kiss x Sis author Bow Ditama announced on their Twitter on Tuesday that the romantic comedy manga has ended in Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine.

Bow Ditama originally published a one-shot in the eighth issue of Weekly Young Magazine in 2004. The manga began regular serialization in Bessatsu Young Magazine in December 2005 and ran in Weekly Young Magazine from 2008 to 2009 before switching to Monthly Young Magazine. Kodansha shipped the 24th volume on June 17 (pictured), with the 25th and final volume set to release on November 18.

An original video anime series (OVA) by feel. ran between December 2008 and April 2015. The animation studio also adapted the manga into a 12-episode television anime in Spring 2010. Discotek Media licensed the OVA series last November and released it on home video on January 26.

Synopsis
When Keita Suminoe's father remarried, not only did he gain a new mother, but elder twin sisters as well. Distinct yet similar, the homely and mature Ako is a former student council president, while the athletic and aloof Riko is the previous disciplinary president. The three of them have been together since kindergarten, resulting in a deep bond between the siblings. However, over time, their relationship developed into something more romantic—and erotic .

Now in his last year of middle school, Keita has already received a sports recommendation, but it's from a different high school than his two sisters. Disappointed, both sisters try to change his mind, and he agrees, giving in to their desperate pleas. Unaware of the consequences, he now has to attempt to study for his high school exams while warding off the advances of his lust-driven sisters. With their parent's blessings, Ako and Riko strive to be Keita's future wife, leaving him to try his best to keep the relationship between them strictly platonic. However, with two beautiful girls vying for his attention, will Keita be able to withstand the endless temptations? [Written by MAL Rewrite]

16 years? I've gotta be honest here.

I've never been into this genre or what this genre implies, if this manga doesn't actually belong to the whole siscon thing, I haven't read it.
But, I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda curious now...morbidly curious, but curious nonetheless, to see just how exactly that premise got stretched for 16 YEARS.

Did it have an irregular schedule release? Was the author in bad health? Just...how? 16 fucking years...

Ah yes, the manga that has had 3 more years of publication after it became nothing but scribbles. The guy clearly doesn't give a crap anymore

A legend when it comes to ecchi, probably the entrance to the genre for a lot of people. You will be remembered.

How the Japanese can write even such works for years still impresses me.

long running battle shounen
the definition of stretching exists so why not this as well

Well, I think even Dragon Ball has more potential for new plots than that.

thought it was dead for a while
never thought it would run this long
from what I've of the author's other works
mahoromatic always seemed to be the better series because it does have more to it than kiss x sis (which is just a non special sex comedy just with "incest" and nothing else to it) and it has an actual premise that's interesting (not to also mention an all star dub cast including derek stephen prince, steve blum, bridget hoffman and Melissa fahn)

if it were weekly, this won't last that long. But the damm 3 to 2 months every chapter probably the problem

Sad to see this one go. But the current events are in the middle of an Arc, does that mean that it will have a rushed ending?
This was such a gem. Following this for over 10 years but after the events of Chapter 111 it just went downhill.
Hopefully the author ends this with a bang to honor all the readers that follow (And bought) the series throughout the years. F in the chat. Thanks for so many memories...
yeah like, ive didn't sense any foreshadow that indicate it going to end
