'Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha' Mangaka Haruka Kaya Dies
Manga UP! announced on July 7 that the manga would enter hiatus so Kaya could focus on fighting the disease. A notice included in the aforementioned post and signed as Haruka Kaya stated that they were diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in September 2019, and they were apologetic for having to leave the series unfinished. Kaya said they were looking forward to the continued serialization of the manga and that they hoped to be involved in some way when they recovered. They concluded by thanking fans for reading the manga and for their support.
Kaya began serializing the Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha: Shijou Saikyou no Maou no Shiso, Tensei shite Shison-tachi no Gakkou e Kayou manga in Manga UP! in July 2018. Square Enix had published four compiled volumes of the manga at the time of their death.

So sad to see so many mangaka nowadays being hospitalised due to being overworked. The only reason could be that some of the mangaka of less popular series don’t get paid anywhere near enough, therefore having to work through pain and illness. Something has to change.

1. this artist died of pancreatic cancer which currently deadliest type of cancer we know off with survival rate only 3% up to 12%.
2. mangaka published in digital platform with relaxed schedule. and squere Enix is not known for black company or unethical practice.
i mean, sure you have the correct message. but you are yelling at wrong entity.
