to me its really just another marketing gimmick that Square has been doing quite a bit lately.

Ooh, as soon as I saw the main(?) girl's design I was interested.

Plot's a bit vague, though, guess I'll have to wait and see.

Is it just me or this intro brings back memories of the Final Fantasy VI (FFIII)? The intro scene of Terra with Biggs and Wedge walking on their mechas under heavy snow and looking towards Narshe at the end? Anyone?

I don’t know why this is connected, but anime adaptations of games usually have a poorer result compared to other primary sources. Only if it is not already a universally recognized hit, for example. But I'm ready to give them a chance because this is not just another waifu bait.

It looks and feels like one of those hype and cash type of shows that will be forgotten next week. I am very sceptical.

Well, given that they will have a port for android, its doesn't look too big. Although I heard that King Raid is quite a popular game, despite the fact that the anime seemed to be unsuccessful.

Another original anime that, at least at first glance, doesn't try to buy me with fetishes or the waifus catalog? What's happening? Did I die and go to heaven?

This ticks all the boxes of NOT being good, or just being plain average. Big name behind it, followed by a game ... yeah.

Seems interesting, but then again most multi-media project don’t turn out great so personally I wouldn’t have high expectations for this.
