New 'Dragon Ball Super' Movie Announced for 2022

Toei Animation announced a new Dragon Ball Super anime movie on Sunday, with Akira Toriyama penning and designing the characters. The movie is scheduled to open in theaters in Japan in 2022.

The Dragon Ball Super television anime, sequel to Dragon Ball Z, aired in 131 episodes from July 2015 to March 2018. The first movie of the Super series, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, opened in Japan in December 2018, grossing over 13.5 million yen (approximately US$12.3 million) worldwide. It was nominated at the 42nd Japan Academy Film Prize in the Animation of the Year category.

Toriyama and Toyotarou began serializing the Dragon Ball Super manga in June 2015 in V-Jump magazine. Shueisha shipped the 15th volume on April 2. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in North America and published the 12th volume on March 2.

I am so excited for this movie and can't wait to see what it has in store. But I really want a DBS season 2! Don't get me wrong the movies are always great but I just want them to continue the story. Unless the Movie has Moro and manga connection if so then I'll be very happy. But we can only wait and see.

there dont need to be hype they just announced a movie we dont even have ateaser a trailer or whats its going to be about, we just want whatever happens next in the manga or the tv show to be back

According to Toriyama, there will be an "unexpected" character in the movie... I can't help it but think it'll be cooler but u never know . So ye I'm hyped, can't wait for the trailer or teaser to come out!

yeah, i dropped anything related to dragon ball super long ago because is tiresome and i don't like anymore this timeline thingy :s

I hope the action and animation is as good as Broly's movie. That movie was fucking epic from straight to finish. Also don't wanna see Vegeta getting jobbed again, please.
