Oh this is another one of those office romcoms. I'm going to check this one out and for those who are wondering Futaba 22 years old. She's just has a very short stature.
Office romance dominates adult romance for the same reason that school romance dominates teen romance. It has even become a cliché in "adult" yuri, as many Japanese women are forced to work in boring office jobs.
Oh I see. I'm reading a few office romance mangas right now, but only a few of them get an anime adaptation. We need more young adult romances in anime though.

Boy, anime is getting tiresome really quick. This one sounds like a low-effort mish-mash of the premises of those four very popular shows.
They are all low effort mish mash of the premises, its just the more people see them the more they realise it.

Well, when it comes to SoL or conventionally realistic anime, they will almost always be based on ordinary Japanese life. School, office work, universities and part-time jobs, etc. In fact, there are quite a few such works, but due to the "epidemic" of escapism in modern Japan, most of the hyped works are either fantasy or girl zoo.
If Wotakoi hadn't become a everyone praised hit, it might have continued.
