Not to generalize, but straight men loving lesbian content are mostly men with lesbian fetish. If you pay attention to the male-targeted yuri, you may notice that it contains a lot of male heterosexual expectations from women, their behavior and appearance. Basically, the same as what you can see in BL, which embodies many female expectations from men.
And you're absolutely right same with women and BL, but i don't see you call out straight men with lesbian fetish...so if y'all want to call out fetishization of lgbt people then let's call out everyone then
Most of the queer media is feshizing or idealizing LGBTQ people in general. Sometimes even regardless of the identity of the author. For example, actual lesbian yuri very often contains a huge amount of popular fetishes from the gay community.

Then they are wrong, men should be able to read Yuri
My only problem with you is i always see you complain about BL or Fujos. and it's getting tiring, my question is how are you gonna call fujoshis straight women who read BL fetishizers, does that mean that you have a lesbian fetish then since you're a male who read yuri? ( himedanshi that's what its called) or is there some hypocrisy going on with straight dudes who read yuri, because if fujos are fetishizers( which many are dont get me started) y'all are fetishizers too

Um, when an anime engages in mindless yuri bait in order to fool and attract yuri fanboys or destroy the message of platonic friendship because of yuri bait, it's also meaningless as a waste of resources on mindless BL bait.
And yes, I can find you a bunch of queer women who think that men should not read or watch even male-targeted yuri, as men supposedly by default fetishize queer female relationships. This is far from uncommon and there are even people who believe that men should not enjoy Love Live, so that this is supposedly content about and for queer women, lol.
Listen, kid. I understand your motives, but, never start an argument if you do not have sufficient knowledge of the subject.

That's not what fujos means, fujoshi means a girl who read BL, i'm a gay male, as long as women don't fetishize it then what's wrong? anime always cater to men with yuri fanservices and y'all dont complain? why does ppl only complain abt women reading BL or BL bait but don't care about straight men reading YURI or enjoying YURI bait, the homophobia that y'all have toward m/m content is disgusting

To begin with, fujoshi for the most part is basically no less straight girls, only with gay fetish. You can refer for a long time to girls who trendy call themselves bi or a small number of lesbians in this, but it is. Secondly, calm down, did I even say somewhere in this post that fujo content is bad? Although as far as I can see, you were not really trying to read my comment, since "create a trend in BL" and "create a BL trend" are obviously different things.

Can't fujos have something? When they're tons of animes catered to straight males? Also the bl trend will always be around, even with mainstream shows like mha, aot, etc, guess who the most popular ships are? Your right it's yaoi ships.

You see, the problem is that if in the case of Kyoani I can understand the abuse of fanservice and moe, since the studio has been working on the perfect commercial anime for years, then in the case of MAPPA, I am just offended that the studio aimed to "give a chance to non- hyped projects with original ideas ", at some point just refocused on BL bait.

MAPPA is really trying to set trends in BL bait anime, isn't it? I don’t think this is particularly bad since everything has its own audience, but given the stated goals of the studio, I would like to see more potential AOT shows instead of constantly chasing fujo audiences.

I'm a bit late, but seeing these words made me stay here.... But wow, I kind of agree to your point, and that's really true. Everyone just has some problem with BL always... Nobody talks about Yuri.
