'Bishounen Tanteidan' Reveals Additional Cast, Staff, Second Promo

The official website for the television anime adaptation of NisiOisin's Bishounen Series (Pretty Boy Detective Club) novel series revealed additional cast, staff, opening theme song, and a second promotional video on Saturday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on April 11 at 2:00 a.m. on the ANiMAZiNG!!! programming block on ABC TV, TV Asahi, and its 24 affiliates networks.

J-rock band sumika (Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii, Kimi no Suizou wo Tabetai) is performing the opening theme "Shake & Shake."

Hajime Ootani (Assault Lily: Bouquet chief director) is helming the series at animation studio Shaft, with Akiyuki Shinbou (Owarimonogatari) serving as the chief director. Hiroki Yamamura is designing the characters.

Kodansha began printing the novel series through its Kodansha Taiga label in October 2015 with illustrations by Kinako (Gatchaman Crowds). The 11th and latest volume shipped in December 2019. Kodansha USA licensed the novel series in English in November 2019 and will ship the third volume on March 30.
