Manga Time Kirara Forward Announces 'Slow Loop' TV Anime

The February 2021 issue of Manga Time Kirara Forward announced a television anime adaptation of Maiko Uchino's Slow Loop manga on Thursday. Kadokawa simultaneously opened an official website, revealing a main illustration (pictured).

Synopsis
When Hiyori⁠—a young girl whose deceased father taught her the joys of fishing⁠—headed out to sea for some alone time, she never thought that she would encounter another girl there.

After a while, this girl⁠—named Koharu⁠—and her end up fishing and cooking together, and they get to know each other a bit in the meantime. During their brief time together Koharu finds out that the reason Hiyori went out to sea that day was because she's hesitant towards meeting her new step family that same evening. But what a coincidence! Koharu is also meeting her new family tonight! "No. It can't be a coincidence..." Follow these two 'sisters' and their new life together! (Source: Tagame Scans)

Uchino published the slice of life manga as a guest series in Manga Time Kirara Forward in April 2018 and began regular serialization in the magazine in September that year. Houbunsha shipped the third volume on June 12, with the fourth volume scheduled for a January 12, 2021 release.

CGDCT is quickly becoming my favourite genre of anime. Yuru Camp and Non non Biyori in particular. I hope this is another edition to the genre

The enjoyed the manga so far, both main characters are so cute.
Fishing series are on the rise looks like and I'm all for it.

Oh wow, I just recently went over all the Kirara looking for those without adaptions and the manga of this one stood out to me as one that had great potential to get one; and now it actually gets announced. Didn't expect it to actually happen anytime in the near future, so that's quite a welcome surprise. Really looking forward to this.

I was so pleased with Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater this summer. Fishing is something I hold dear. No clue what to expect from this but I am excited.

Oh, another fishing anime. And it's one of only 3 anime I know of that revolves around fishing, with the other 2 being Super Fishing Grander Musashi and Houkago Teibou Nisshi. Looking forward to it.

Okay so from what I'm getting here is that to get Slow Loop, you got to have:

The relationship dynamic from Yuru Camp. Fishing theme of Houkago Teibou Nisshi. And with the 'new step-family twist' of Domestic Girlfriend

That's an imaginary mix I never thought will see the light of day. Alright folks, Slow Loop is gonna be fun in its own way.

Manga Time Kirara, so it’s almost certainly a SOL too. Would be great if Doga Koba picks this up in particular.
