'Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken' 2nd Season Reveals Additional Cast, Second Promo

The official website of the Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) television anime revealed on Monday additional cast and a second promotional video for its second season. The new season will premiere on January 12 at 11:00 p.m. on Tokyo MX, followed by BS11, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, TV Hokkaido, TV Aichi, TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting, and MBS.

Hinata Sakaguchi: Manami Numakura (No Guns Life)
Shougo Taguchi: Chiaki Kobayashi (Yuukoku no Moriarty)
Kyouya Tachibana: Shou Nogami (The iDOLM@STER SideM)
Kirara Mizutani: Hiyori Kouno (Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku)
Albis: Ai Kakuma (Katsute Kami Datta Kemono-tachi e)
Suphia: You Taichi (Double Decker! Doug & Kirill)
Grucius: Satoshi Hino (Overlord)
Miuran: Atsumi Tanezaki (Granbelm)

Atsushi Nakayama (Absolute Duo), the assistant director of the first season, is replacing Yasuhito Kikuchi (Comet Lucifer) as the director for the second season. The second cour is scheduled to air in Summer 2021.

Returning staff at animation studio 8bit include Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Majo no Tabitabi), Ryouma Ebata (Mahou Sensou), and Elements Garden (Senki Zesshou Symphogear) as series composer, character designer. and music composer, respectively.

Anisong singer TRUE is returning to perform the opening theme "Storyteller," which is previewed in the new promo. STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION will perform the ending theme.

Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken adapts Taiki Kawakami's manga adaptation of Fuse's adventure fantasy light novel, which has been serialized in Monthly Shounen Sirius since March 2015. The 16th volume, which includes an original video anime episode, will ship on November 27.

Fuse originally launched the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2013. Micro Magazine began printing the series with illustrations by Mitz Vah in May 2014. The 17th volume was published on September 30.

I'm really excited to see this because I know what happens in the manga right after season 1 of the anime and a lot of good stuff happened in there, especially the current arc.

Let's hope they relax the pacing again. So that we can get back to it being as good and fun as the first half of the first season. They really done some characters like Youm dirty with them rushing through the events in the 2nd half (after the Orc Disaster Arc).
