Seriously, does anyone want idol shows to be scorned like isekai or harems as well?

Aaaaaaaand there goes my hype levels. Down to the idol hell it goes, where my wasted time on "Love Live School Idol Festival" game is also located.

Big skip, experiments like these often yield horrors like the Aku no Hana anime.

Are you talking about "the same" adaptation?

It will be most likely the same thing as 22/7.
Idol anime with shoehorned idols and horrible voice acting.

Ah yes more idol shows, fine I guess.

What's this I hear? Another generic cookie cutter idol anime in an industry oversaturated with that crap? Another happy friendship idol anime that is designed to distract people from the reality that the Japanese idol industry is unbelievably disgusting and exploitive of dense young girls that fall for this crap and sign away their life and safety? WONDERFUL!!!

And it sounds like they're going to use Rotoscoping to animate it, which undoubtedly means it's going to look horrifying. Now the question is will it be horrifyingly creepy on the level of Flowers of Evil and Kowabon or horrifyingly bad on the level of Sing to Me Yesterday and Hana to Alice: Satsujin Jiken.

Based idol anime incomi-

Lemme... try and not judge a book by its cover here though.

Hey, I love me some idol anime, like I really fucking do. I just want to see new things be done with it. Genre subversions or something? Is that too much to ask for? Once again, I'll try and not judge a book by its cover, but fucking mocrap-ahem, mocap, already killed my hype levels.
I even feel that way about the new Love Live. It's just another. Fucking. SAVE DA SCHOOL/CLUB/etc story. Love Live 4 has already been revealed and will probably premiere next year and is probably doomed to be a "save the X thing" scenario.

Don't get me wrong again. I'm gonna watch it, and I'm most likely gonna enjoy it, but clearly Sunrise is afraid of experimenting. Gekidol, WIXOSS, Idoly Pride, Gekidol, WIXOSS, Idol Brave Witches and Show By Rock 4 are all coming next year. Love Live 4 and Idolmaster Million Live should be, as well. I'm absolutely depending on one of these to be my savior and be some new inventive idol anime.
Hey, Sunrise. You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. Love Live 3 (out of 10,000 sequels to come; probably the next Gundam or PreCure) and BorutoYasha are coming this October 2020. You're in the Big Three of Anime Studios for a reason, you merchandising JUGGERNAUT. Muahahahahaha!!

Thought Idol shows were starting to die out, but maybe I was just blinding myself to their existence in a subconscious attempt trick myself into forgetting about them.
