'Iwa Kakeru!: Sport Climbing Girls' Unveils Supporting Cast, Staff, First Promo

The official website of the Iwa Kakeru!: Sport Climbing Girls (Hang On! Sports Climbing Girls) television anime revealed additional cast, staff, and the first promotional video on Friday. The anime series is set to air in October 2020.

Tetsuro Amino (Nijiiro Days, Break Blade) is helming the series at animation studio Blade. Touko Machida (Harukana Receive) is handling the series composition, and Yoshihiro Watanabe (Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai) is in charge of the character design. Tsubasa Itou (Egao no Daika) is composing the music.

Iwa Kakeru!: Sport Climbing Girls is based on Ryudai Ishizaka's web manga series Iwa Kakeru!: Climbing Girls, which began on the Cycomics website in December 2017 and ended last May. A sequel manga, Iwa Kakeru!!: Try a New Climbing, launched the following month. Kodansha published the first two volumes of the original manga in 2018. Shogakukan re-released all four volumes on April 30 and the first volume of the sequel manga digitally on February 28.

I'm looking forward to a full episode devoted to the girls discussing which shoes they prefer. I'm also imagining them representing Japan in an international youth competition and developing a fierce rivalry with the equally talented and beautiful Slovenian team.

I'm hoping for an Adam Ondra or Alex Handhold cameo like Arnold in dumbbell. They could really go all out on Adam's neck in glorious over the top anime style

I'm already imagining this face in anime, screaming on the wall.
