TV Anime 'Houkago Teibou Nisshi' Announces Main Cast

The main cast for Doga Kobo's upcoming anime adaptation of Houkago Teibou Nisshi (After School Embankment Journal) were revealed through its official website on Saturday. A promotional video for the series was also released on the website in addition to the cast announcement. The series is scheduled to premiere in Spring 2020.

Cast
Hina Tsurugi: Kanon Takao (Uchi no Ko no Tame naraba, Ore wa Moshikashitara Maou mo Taoseru kamo Shirenai.)
Natsumi Hodaka: Natsumi Kawaida (Ahiru no Sora)
Yuuki Kuroiwa: Yuu Sasahara (Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san)
Makoto Ohno: Satomi Akesaka (Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu)

Previously announced staff includes Takaharu Ookuma (Love Lab assistant director) as the director, Katsuhiro Kumagai (Gabriel DropOut) as the character designer, and Fumihiko Shimo (New Game!) who is in charge of the series composition.

The slice of life manga by Yasuyuki Kosaka was originally published as a one-shot in the Young Champion Retsu magazine in December 2016. Houkago Teibou Nisshi was later continued as a regular series starting from February 2017. Its fifth compiled volume was released on October 18 of this year.

Pretty chill PV. Always a fan of iyashikei shows so definitely looking forward to this. I’m not well versed with this cast though so here’s to hoping they’ll do a great job with this!

This is my most anticipated upcoming new series. I'm really hoping for Non non Biyori vibes. I love fishing but don't get to do it where I now live so I'm hoping this is the next best thing.
