Synopsis
Yuna and Akari are two high school girls with very different views on love: Yuna dreams about romance through rose-coloured glasses, while Akari is down-to-earth and practical. Meanwhile, high school boys Kazuomi and Rio also have different views on love: Kazuomi is an airhead who can't grasp the concept of love, while Rio grabs onto any confession as an opportunity—so long as the girl looks cute. Will these four classmates end up leading a youthful romance that meets their expectations?

Sakisaka launched the romantic shoujo manga, also known by its short name FuriFura, in Bessatsu Margaret in June 2015, four months after concluding Ao Haru Ride. The series ended in the magazine's June issue on May 13. Shueisha published the 12th and final volume on June 28. FuriFura has sold a cumulative 4.5 million copies of its compiled volumes. A live-action film adaptation will premiere in Japan in August 2020.

VIZ Media licensed the manga in English this July and plans to publish the first volume on March 3, 2020.

That's because the original source (the manga) is from the same author.

Oh that makes sense. I didn't even think to look that up. I liked that series so hopefully this follows in quality!
Well, I'm currently reading the manga for Ao Haru Ride as it airs in North America, so I haven't watched the anime adaptation yet, but Strobe Edge and it (Ao Haru Ride) are among some of my favorite shoujo series up to date, so I'm quite looking forward to this!!XD

Nice, another Sakisaka work animated. This looks super cute. I will probably read it before I watch it since this movie will PROBABLY not adapt the entire thing (12 vol)

Good choice of seiyuu.

Damn, the PV looks amazing! Kinda expected it to be better than TV series, but for a shoujo adaptation it still looks so pretty, crisp and vivid! And they had to start the PV with my baby Yuna-chan! <3

@ronald_bastian: The Yamamotos are step siblings. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

//It's not there isn't any tension between them with hints of adolescence, suddenly finding themselves under the same roof after their parents got married but if you are wondering about it from the PV, the siblings have opposite hair colors and that should clear things up. The PV wasn't even hiding the couples.//

@tragedydesu, well at least you'll be loving this one for certain! Yuna-chan is a proper heroine to gosh over! She is so adorable!

Makoto and Rinko from Ore Monogatari become siblings right, so I wonder if Takeo know it, what he should do later ? (hopefully, this anime doesn't include incest story, right)

Akari and inui are 5 & 12 from zankyou no terror in resonance and popuko in pop team epic

On another note though,the boy with the blond hair reminds me a bit of Natsume from Natsume Yuujinchou..

I'm even more excited now!!! Saitou Souma <333

Zakki isn't one of my favorite, but I do think he's very fitting for Rio.

I liked the directing for Fune wo Amu, so looks like this will be good! The trailer looks beautiful ><
