Second Season of 'Tsugumomo' Unveils New Cast, April 2020 Broadcast
The official website of the Tsugumomo anime series revealed additional cast, the first promotional video, and a key visual (pictured) for the second season, Tsugu Tsugumomo, on Friday. The new anime season will broadcast in April 2020.
Cast
Akito Ajimine: Shougo Sakata (Dr. Stone)
Arumi Ajimine: Riho Sugiyama (Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi)
Mimane Mitaka: Mami Uchida (Akuma no Riddle)
Yasuki Yatsugawa: Yukitoshi Kikuchi (Boku dake ga Inai Machi)
Azami: Yuuko Oono (Mahou Shoujo Site)
Returning staff members from the first season at Zero-G include director and series composer Ryouichi Kuraya, character designer Kiyotaka Nakahara, chief animation director Nakahara and Masaaki Sakurai, color designer Atsushi Furukawa, editor Masamitsu Utsunomiya, sound director Fumiyuki Gou, and music composer Yasuharu Takanashi.
Hirofumi Sakagami (Kono Yo no Hate de Koi wo Utau Shoujo YU-NO), Mitsuki Maeda (Keijo!!!!!!!! 3D background), and Motohiro Kunishige (Doukyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue.) are replacing Kenichi Tajiri, Ochi Hiroyuki, and Ryouhei Matsuda as the art director, art designer, and photography director, respectively. Yoshitaka Yasuda (Nil Admirari no Tenbin key animator) is joining the staff as the "sex appeal" animator.
Tsugumomo adapts Yoshikadu Hamada's supernatural ecchi comedy manga of the same name, which aired in Spring 2017. Crunchyroll simulcast the show and Funimation released it on home video in May 2018.
Hamada originally began the manga in Comic Seed! web magazine in November 2007 before transferring it to Web Comic High! in August 2008. The series switched a second time to Monthly Action in May 2013. Futabasha published the 23rd volume on March 12.
A crowdfunded original video anime episode will ship with the 24th manga volume on January 22, 2020. The crowdfunding campaign raised nearly 8 million yen, 266 percent more than original goal of 3 million yen. Yasuda will reprise as the "sex appeal" animator and also serve as the chief animation director for the episode, which will be over 20 minutes in duration. Toei Video is credited for production.

Didn't know there were "sex-appeal" animators in the industry xD.
I was thinking of giving the first season a go as prep for this but I think I'll just use that time for some other show now.

We started a new decade, a new age with an harem-ecchi anime from the 2000's. seriously nothing has changed these stories should have died long ago.

I'm not a fan of Ecchi shows you see, and I've seen a few clips of the show over on YT which really didn't impress me (adverse effect actually, if I'm to be blunt) either. So it's a pass from me.
I hope you enjoy Season 2 though.
