Manga creator Negi Haruba announced on Twitter on Wednesday that his 5-toubun no Hanayome (The Quintessential Quintuplets) manga series will end with the 14th volume.

Synopsis
Considered a genius, high schooler Fuutarou Uesugi excels at studying and obtains a perfect score on every test. Due to his intense focus on that regard, he is a reclusive person with no friends. Additionally, he lives in a tight financial state as a result of family debts.

Fuutarou's mundane lifestyle is interrupted when Itsuki Nakano, a new transfer student, contests him for his usual lunch seat. After a short altercation, Fuutarou emerges victorious by insulting Itsuki's eating habits, which angers her enough to leave. However, when Fuutarou learns that he has been offered the private tutor position of a wealthy family's academically hopeless daughters, he immediately regrets his prior encounter. It turns out that the beneficiaries of his tutoring are none other than Itsuki and her four identical siblings: the shy Miku, the cheerful Yotsuba, the devious Nino, and the mature Ichika!

Teaching these quintuplets may prove more difficult for Fuutarou than he initially expected, as the last thing they want to do is seriously study. Now, Fuutarou must face the various challenges of tutoring five beautiful yet eccentric girls. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Haruba originally published the romantic comedy series as a one-shot in Weekly Shounen Magazine in January 2017. Regular serialization of the manga began in August 2017. Kodansha published the 12th volume on November 15 (pictured). 5-toubun no Hanayome has a cumulative 8.6 million copies of its volumes in print.

The manga inspired a 12-episode TV anime adaptation this January by Tezuka Productions, which was simulcast by Crunchyroll. Funimation also streamed an English dub. A second season is currently in production.

Kodansha Comics licensed the manga in English in 2018 for both digital and physical release. The tenth e-book volume and the fifth physical volume went on sale on September 17 and November 5, respectively.

I am fine with any of the sisters winning as long as it is not Itsuki. She fits the typical winning heroine cliches to the max, so any other ending will be fine. I just tired of authors choosing this stereotype for the main girl.

I m fine with it, as long as it is NOT Yotsuba...

#DEATH TO HAREMS !!

Harem hardly ever end with a harem anyway . The only time I can think of when a harem end happens is if it's a fantasy or magic is involved in the series

Or if your name is

Well it was pretty good until chapter 100. Kinda felt it was dragging a bit with very little progression. But yeah kinda best to end it right here similar to Boarding School Juliet before it gets stale and uninteresting.

@Mattinator95
a harem ending is so much better than an ending where the best girl get rejected though

thx God that visual novels exist where every girl have her own route

So we're gonna rule out Hinata as a childhood friend? Because I'm pretty sure she was, since they both knew eachother when they were younger

I'm not the only one saying Yotsuba also plays on the first girl trope either, others on the manga websites have pointed this out too. People are just tired of those tropes when it applies to the not so favorite candidate. I still like her, but not as the winner

First girl trope doesnt work like that.People are salty because their fav quint didn't win.
Nisekoi--Chitoge
Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet--Persia
Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru--Natsukawa
like that.
Who is Hinata?

The one from naurto i think

True she is not the First girl, as she never had any of the benefits that come with that title unlike Itsuki.
But you cant label her as a childhood friend either since she only met him 1 time in the past, and in the same day he also play with Ichika so...

Well i dont like it cuz he said that he loves all of them just 3 days ago, but now he decided on Yotsuba all of a suden.

Well i am still interested about what he said to the other 4 before he went to Yotsubas room, maybe Negi can fix this ending so that every one can support yotsuba if she the bride in the end.

Btw for me its
1# Miku, Nino, Ichika and Yotsuba
2# Itsuki
So i have nothing against Yotsuba being the bride, just the way it was handeld

i don't need to read it to know that i will root for Miku
she is the type of female characters i love the most
I think you might honestly like the person who was choosen, mostly because of she treats him from start(rest of the sisters never acted like that to him, except she was always on his side) and onward

Can't wait to see Haruba's next work. His artwork is stunning.

We will have to wait, I think. Because he has been suffering from burnout syndrome as evident from some his interviews (like he admires mangaka with long running publications etc.), something that led to many mangaka lose their health or stop being mangaka altogether. You will also notice that the later chapters were rushed and the drawing quality dropped here and there.

It's the nature of the job and the demand it makes on the individual's body.

WSM will lose a lot of grounds it made to catch up with WSJ's circulations since GoToubun became popular.

@tragedydesu: You never know. You may like the girl who

I'm a fan of the series, but glad to see it ending on the author's own terms. It's a shame to see great series dragging on and turning into shit.

Can't wait to see Haruba's next work. His artwork is stunning.

Look at that salty fonboy lol. It ıs ok to be hate Yotsuba end . It is your choice after all. But you cant call it "cliche".It is rare to find genki childhood friend who wins in harem manga. Negi broke the rule “Childhood friend is destined to lose.”

shes not first girl. Thats not how the trope works.Itsuki first girl.

Also Yots is the one who support MC most. She was always there for help him from the beginning, not Nino , not Miku. She did her best for his happinies. She changed him(in a good way). She truly deserved happiness.

Nobody gonna love you because you PuT İt İn EFfoRt.
She is pretty popular to.Check out last poll(best moments)

I hope Negi let them be happy.I love all the quints.Feels bad Nino and İchika to :/
Sorry for English.
